Google does it again

Google has done it again and partnered this time with TiVo to dominate the marketplace.   The goal of this partnership is to show advertisers more accurate information on how many are actually watching television live or have pre-recorded and are skipping through the commercials.

Google’s Platform Shoes

I like testing the new stuff out. That’s one thing that I can look back at and see as a consistent pattern in my life. It’s also one of the things I really like about the web and technology fields. Browser Wars Are (Kinda) Here Again

Plenty of new things brewing in the Web Browser world these days. Well, maybe not like in the beginning of the browser wars when Netscape introduced their own tags that made budding developers like myself both jump for joy and cringe at the same time. But with Apple launching a new beta version of Safari, Internet Explorer 8 being officially launched by Microsoft, and Google promoting some of the capabilities of it’s own Chrome browser, we’ve got more activity going on in the browser world than there has been in a while.

Google Begins Adding Magazines to Search Results

Google just announced they are now returning search results that include magazine content within Google Book Search. They have indexed millions of magazines from various publishers and are going to continue to add more. Eventually, we’ll see magazine search results blended with regular organic search results – which means even more information instantly available via a simple search query.
