A TV commercial created by Bozell for First National Bank has earned a 2011 Midas Certificate in the Corporate Image category, according to Corey Meyer, managing partner of the Omaha-based agency. The Midas Awards recognizes excellence in financial services communications and honors advertising in banking, brokerage, insurance, mutual funds, credit, real estate, accounting and consulting.

The 60-second TV commercial titled “Heartbeat” is part of First National Bank Omaha’s “Born & Raised” advertising campaign, which emphasizes the bank’s ties to Omaha spanning more than 150 years. “Being recognized among the world’s best financial marketing and advertising agencies is a special honor for our entire creative team,” Meyer acknowledged. “Bozell and First National Bank Omaha are proud to have been born and raised in this great city and we share the same passion for the people and traditions that make our community so unique.”

“The overall campaign seems to have struck a chord with our customers and employees based on the positive feedback we’ve received since the TV commercials first aired,” First National Bank President Daniel O’Neill reported. “The community spirit and traditional values portrayed in the campaign are typical of the families and places touched by First National Bank over its long history in Omaha.”

In addition to “Heartbeat,” the Born & Raised campaign includes four other TV spots dedicated to First National Bank Omaha customers, employees and community values. The spots were produced by Mighty Films with original music by RMW. The campaign also includes a variety of print and out-of-home advertisements based on the same creative concept.

The Midas Jury is comprised of client and agency leaders from creative and marketing disciplines, as well as internationally recognized experts in financial policy and communications.
