Location Based Marketing for Local Businesses
In a recent issue of our Thinking publication I wrote an article about location based marketing. This post provides further information on that subject. When I’m traveling and I want to find a good restaurant nearby, I turn to Yelp. The other day I was out shopping and checked in on Foursquare and discovered a special offer from retailer down the street that drew me into that store for the first time. Our smartphones are always with us. And always on. And we use them to make our lives easier — as tools to help us locate and buy the things we want and need. We also have a growing comfort level of buying things via our phones, as evidenced by the fact that US mobile commerce sales surged 91% in 2011.

Bozell’s Grand Prix
Many wonder what it takes to get accepted into the Bozell Summer Internship program. When applying it is important to complete all of the following (trust me, I’m an intern):
- Have a killer resume to show your experience
- Write a captivating cover letter to show your personality
- List related and completed courses to show what you know
- Compile the perfect portfolio to show your skills
- Answer essays to show how you think
- Get a letter of recommendation to show that someone actually believes in you
- And most important of all…hone your Mario Kart skills to show the world that you’re better than the other interns because how you handle the 64 bit racers is the most important measuring stick of one’s abilities…obviously.

Is it the future of in-store shopping or just another flash in the pan? Scott and Nathan look at the aisle411 mobile app. Available for iOS and Android, the app aims to change the way you shop in stores by providing a map of where your items are before you even get there. And being the Apple fanboy’s they are, the guys take a little bit of time to talk about the imminent release of OSX Mountain Lion and how it will bring more cohesiveness to the Apple ecosystem.
