Let’s talk influence.
Omaha has its own independently organized TEDx event that is attended by 500 of our community’s most curious, forward-thinking people. For this year’s event, the theme was Influence. So to appeal to this audience, and to fully capture the essence of the theme, we needed to come up with something that embodied the true power of influence. We needed something that quickly, yet conceptually, expressed how everything around us – our history, our physical environment, our community – affects us, whether we realize it or not. So we created the “social ocean” concept, where we brought to the forefront all of the stimuli that sway us on a daily basis. And thanks to our efforts, tickets sold out in record time, the event was standing room only, and it ended up being the most successful TEDx Omaha event to date.
