The reEnergize program is the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Program. This effort was designed to encourage people to conduct energy audits and make upgrades to their homes. reEnergize enlisted Bozell to develop a creative approach and media strategy that would both increase awareness of the program and generate leads. With a limited budget, we needed a creative concept that would get people to take notice. These posters were placed around the community.
The media strategy utilized radio to drive frequency of messaging and was supported by print and online ads.
Bozell developed a campaign showing “thieves” (e.g., old furnaces, lamps, air conditioners) that “rob your home of energy.” People were encouraged to identify the suspects in their homes and get money back for doing so, simply by contacting reEnergize.
