Most of my memories are of marching band – parades and competitions. Kids called me Momma Tomma because I was the only responsible member of the drumline.

First job: learned hustle and customer service.

METROPOLITAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE

I started with a brief stint at UNL, and spent most of my time at practice with the Pride of All Nebraska. I eventually completed my degree in industrial technology and construction technology at Metro. I am a jack of most trades.
 

KUTAK ROCK – LEAD OFFICE SERVICES CLERK

I was there for 13+ years and learned how to best function on a team while maintaining efficient workflow. I married my coworker from Kutak. She already had a son, so I started to be a provider instead of just a worker, and that put things into perspective.
 

GROSS AND WELCH – OFFICE SERVICES COORDINATOR

I learned how to best manage people and processes for the good of the company.

In every position – from high school jobs to now – I’ve lived by three rules: early is on time, on time is late; come to work to work; if you have time to lean, you have time to clean.
 

BOZELL – PROJECT MANAGER

Even though my responsibilities have changed over the years and my job duties have become more complex, the name of the game is still customer service. It’s what I do, and I am good at it.
 

Words to live by: You can’t please everyone all the time, so just worry about the ones that matter.
