OMAHA, NE
Proudly born and raised, where I was a failure in sports, scouting, math, science, binge drinking and artistic pursuits of any kind.
UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA OMAHA
I received a journalism degree and had no illusions about becoming anything based on my GPA.
Known as West Dodge High back in the day.
SUN NEWSPAPERS – MANAGING EDITOR
I went from rookie reporter to managing editor between the late ‘70s to early ‘80s.
As a journalist, I gained a deep appreciation for factual accuracy, balanced reporting and making deadlines, which stayed with me throughout my career.
BOZELL & JACOBS – AGRICULTURAL DIVISION
I once split my pants climbing over a wall at the NASCAR Phoenix Speedway while interviewing crew chiefs for Moog Automotive. I was called “Tom Splitter” from that time on.
Chet Frazier, my first boss, used to say, “If the client is happy, I’m happy.” Under his leadership, Bozell & Jacobs became the largest ag ad agency in the nation, so he must have made a lot of clients happy.
I’ve been here since 1983.
BOZELL – PR MANAGER
Bozell is all about achieving measurable results for clients, and there is nothing better than hearing the content I provided was helpful in achieving sales, or that it was professionally written and of interest to readers.
Words to live by: Giitter Done (or Git-R-Done if you prefer.)
