OMAHA, NE
One summer, back in the ’60s, I would take the bus down to watch workers build the Woodmen of the World building.
I was an Omaha World-Herald paperboy for 10 years and had the largest route in the city at the time.
Route #55H in the Dundee area.
UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA – OMAHA
I got my degree in business, and Dr. Brillheart is a professor I’ll always remember. He was a great, sharp guy. He said he graduated from Harvard, but we never saw a diploma.
INTERSTATE PRINTING – CUSTOMER SERVICE REP
After college, I thought I would get into the cattle industry in the Sandhills, but I ended up helping my parent’s run the family print business.
Luckily, my sister’s husband is from there, so I get to live my dream a couple times per year.
BOZELL – ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION MANAGER
I never thought I would work for an advertising agency, but then Bozell called. That was 1979, and I’m still here.
I was here when we were the 8th largest agency in the world.
I was always told, “Take your job very seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously.” I think that’s a good line for all of us.
BOZELL – PRODUCTION MANAGER
My time at the printing company provided valuable lessons, especially considering my job description now includes being in charge of all collateral work, otherwise known as printed materials.
