At the wise, old age of 15, I started to need my own paycheck. (For some reason, Mom wasn’t willing to fund movie dates and fast food.) My thought process went something like, “If the best food in Omaha is a crinkle-cut fry, why don’t I work at Runza? I can get free fries all day!”

Bonus: Runza was within walking distance of my house.

Every Sunday afternoon was protected as family time. My grandparents hosted my entire family (more than 30 people!) for a huge lunch feast, complete with a minimum of three different desserts.

I also grew up impersonating my three older sisters and each of their interests: makeup, CDs and cute boyfriends.

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA – OMAHA

The girls in my sorority encouraged me to take a geology lab course, which included a camping trip to explore a Midwestern geological field. I signed up, and then, for the first time in the course’s history, we flew to California instead! While traveling up and down the Golden State for a week and a half, I met my partner of seven years. We’ve been inseparable ever since. The next (and best) addition to our family was our amazing golden retriever Marley Mae who is now four-years-old.

In a different college trip, I went to London and toured a large ad agency that had recently completed work for the Olympics.

After that, I only saw myself working in an ad agency.

BOZELL – COLLEGE WORLD SERIES INTERN

My first advertising industry internship was here at Bozell as the College World Series intern. I remember telling my friends as I waited to hear back, “If I get this internship, this is it. This will be the launchpad to my career.”

I literally jumped up and down on my bed when I got the call from Laura. Somebody grab the brag horn!

VIC GUTMAN & ASSOCIATES – EVENT MARKETING SPECIALIST
Running projects and events at VGA cultivated my creative, strategic and communication skills. I worked with everyone from artists, print vendors and volunteers to senior directors, board presidents and the mayor’s office.

Mr. Vic Gutman was a great inspiration to me. He taught me to pay attention to, care for and invest in the people and places I enjoy.

BOZELL – PROJECT MANAGER

Now my job is to help my team stay focused, on-time and on-budget – all while working closely with the account executive to keep our client informed. I take on so many roles: cheerleader, secretary, purse holder, den mother and therapist. It feels so good to be back at Bozell!

Words to live by: “I like my shows. And I like my snacks.” – my four-year-old niece Scout
