MISSOURI VALLEY, IA

I always carried around a tackle box full of art supplies: crayons, colored pencils, markers and papers. My parents said I could spend hours entertaining myself with art.

LITTLE CAESARS – ASSISTANT MANAGER

I worked here for five years during high school and college, and it taught me how to work hard for a dollar.

The number of tasks I was responsible for prepared me for the stress and ownership that would eventually come with the title of art director.

CREATIVE CENTER

I received my bachelor’s in fine arts, and my life changed the moment I realized I could make a decent living centralized around art and design.

My professor, Tim Grutch, taught me to embrace criticism to better my work and self.

PROXIBID – INTERNAL PRODUCTION DESIGNER

I started as an intern, but after the summer they asked me to stay.

This offered insight into working in-house as opposed to an agency.

It was a well-paying job in the industry, but I wanted to try working at an agency. I applied for Bozell’s internship program after a few Bozell employees spoke to my college class.

BOZELL – DESIGNER

Because of my experience as an in-house production designer, I know how to quickly turn around designs for a client. That skill translates well to my position at Bozell, as I’m responsible for producing concepts and then creating the look and feel of the idea within a set timeline.

Words to live by: A positive perspective is the difference between living a miserable life and a happy one.
