All Wrapped Up: Jenna’s Summer Internship Experience

July 20th, 2017

Hey, hey! I’m Jenna. I’m this summer’s Account Service intern, an Omaha native and a recent graduate of the University of South Dakota.

If you know me, you’d know I love buffalo chicken. And this summer has been nothing short of what I would describe to be my perfect sandwich – a buffalo chicken wrap. The perfect balance of unexpected and satisfying. So, what do I mean?

Unexpected in the sense that I really wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into. While I did have agency experience under my belt coming into the summer, I’ve found that each agency is different. Whether it be the day-do-day structure or simply just the culture of the office (which, by the way, Bozell’s is pretty top notch – Ice Cream Truck Thursdays. Seriously). Each day coming to work is exciting and ever-changing, which always keeps me on my toes.

While the work load can seem intimidating at times, it’s truly satisfying. As the Account Service intern, I have been able to manage accounts while creating timelines and budgets for Bozell’s clients, all while having the support and guidance of my mentor … well, actually the entire office. Producing quality work here is an expectation, but everyone wants to do it and do it well because of the comradery between one another. It really is the best feeling completing something exactly how the client envisioned it or, better yet, better than they could have thought.

All wrapped up, I could say this summer has been pretty flavorful thus far. It’s clear to me that everyone here loves what they are doing which makes Bozell not only a good place to grow but also a place to learn.
