When I Woke Up This Morning It Was 1932, in Cannes

June 22nd, 2016

Cannes PartyMy suspicious nature makes me doubt Gary Vaynerchuk’s apology regarding his agency’s epic gaffe. Is it possible they were able to find the one event planning vendor who’s been living in a cave for the past 50 years, and is unaware that sending a party invite stating “attractive females and models only,” and requiring “untouched photos and/or your Instagram/Facebook links,” is not cool?

Either way, big problems. Agencies are all about the messaging, for their clients and for themselves. If they let their event company run with their big event – without even bothering to ask about the theme – that’s bad.

If they did this in a cheap attempt to position themselves in the spotlight – bad AND stupid.
