When I started, I thought I was going to be a chemistry major, then I moved to psychology before finishing in journalism and business.

Dr. Hough pushed me to think critically and not to shy away from sharing my opinion.

Dr. Fransecky’s leadership class was another enlightening course.

CREIGHTON STUDENTS UNION PROGRAMMING BOARD

We were a student-led group that planned and promoted events for campus, from speaking engagements with Pulitzer Prize winners to Black Eyed Peas concerts.

As head of this group, I was given complete freedom to “hire” the team of volunteers, was expected to read and sign all contracts, and had to answer to the University officials if anything went wrong.

It was as real life as it could get.

As the intern, I helped plan fundraisers and manage membership communication.

I thought I was going to be an event planner.

Since I was 16, I’ve been volunteering with Make-A-Wish. They’re now a client of Bozell’s, and we’ve brought their message to 85 percent of the state.

I’m thankful that my passion project became the passion of the company.
