2012 Interns

June 8th, 2012

Now this is a story all about how

Our lives got flipped, turned upside down

And we’d like to take a minute just sit a spell

We’ll tell you how we became interns at a place called Bozell.

Chayse Barr – Account Service/Media Intern

This “townie” finally left behind his old stomping grounds of Maryville, Missouri for the bright city lights of Omaha (or something like that). With an eye for design fused with a mind for strategic thinking Chayse is ready to put his tactful wit to the test this summer.  He will graduate this fall from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science double majoring in Interactive Digital Media with an emphasis in New Media and Applied Advertising – say that 5 times fast. And that education will be put to good use as Bozell’s Account Service/Media Intern.  He’s an easy going bearded badass who loves a practical joke and won’t shy away from a good debate. We are starting to think Chayse might just be as strange as the spelling of his name (the Y is silent by the way) but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Tara Grieser – Social Media Intern

Tara was deemed a magpie the day she was able to speak.  In other words, she talks A LOT! She uses that to her advantage in the realm of social media, an area her constant conversing helps her excel in.  She is an Advertising and Public Relations major at University of Nebraska Lincoln and loves exploring how social media can work for brands and spark conversation between people. And that’s exactly why she’s the perfect fit as our Social Media intern for the summer.  Tara’s expressive personality, work ethic and belief that creativity makes the world a hell of a lot better place makes her an awesome addition to the Bozell team.  Hopefully the other interns can get a word in edgewise!

Christine Dunn – College World Series/New Business Intern

Dunn-da Dunn Dunn Dunn…this one has Ernie “very concerned” and while we’re not quite sure why yet, there is definitely something about Christine.  Like First National Bank she was “Born and Raised” in Omaha and as a PR/Advertising major at University of Nebraska Omaha she pretty much does it all: she’s the president of her Ad Club, vice president of Order of Omega (a Greek Honor Society) and a Historian and Reporter for the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.  This might explain her addiction to Scooter’s Coffee.  We have been keeping her really busy as our College World Series/Small Business intern but that hasn’t stopped her from rolling around in the random chair between the other interns’ desks, lip syncing whatever song is pumping through those ear buds, and baking up a batch of cupcakes at a moment’s notice.  We love having Christine’s optimistic and energetic personality around Bozell this summer… now if we can just get Ernie on board.

Ryan Cromley – Art Director Intern

When was the last time a “normal” person came up with something that made you stop and say “Hot damn, that’s cool!”?  Let’s be honest, it rarely ever happens – good thing Ryan is as far from “normal” as someone can get. This recent graduate from Omaha’s Creative Center is ready to take that Fine Arts Bachelor’s Degree of his and smack the design community in the face with his off the wall style.  This guy is a little different when it comes to…well, everything, but, that strange taste has him always looking at the world in weird, twisted, colorful kinds of ways and makes him perfectly suited for the Art Director Intern position with us at Bozell.

Lauren Naughton – Account Service/PR Intern

Don’t let this sorority girl fool you, there’s a lot more to her than blond hair and toga parties.  Lauren is an accomplished karaoke singer, undefeated Mario Kart driver and proficient Spanish speaker.  Well at least one of those is true; she just graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor’s in Journalism & Mass Communications and Spanish & Hispanic Studies.  We get to use her skills as an Account Service intern who will dabble in a little bit of PR and copywriting this summer before she packs her bags and flees the country.  This fall Lauren is heading to Madrid, Spain to work as an English teacher for a year. In the meantime we are excited to have her at Bozell, and the other interns are ready to test their skills against this self-proclaimed Mario Kart champ.

Alexandra Nguyen – Small Business / Interactive Intern

Often described as a geeky hipster, Alexandra hopes to unleash her inner nerdiness on Bozell this summer as the Small Business/Interactive Intern.  She’s new to the Omaha area – a “shocking” change from the streets of Wichita State University where she gained her cred majoring in Communication with an emphasis in Integrated Marketing Communications and Digital Media.  Sick beats and Craig Thompson graphic novels are her Kryptonite and about the only way to disconnect her constant link to technology. With an overachieving curiosity and unhealthy obsession to all things “interwebz” (geek speak), we are ready to see exactly what this nerd can do.
